Today I took my camera to work, and decided to take photos with and without autofocus and compare the results when I got home. I’m pleased with my results – I can’t tell which photos used autofocus.

Seems I’m getting the hang of my camera.

A spring break in the British Library

On Thursday I went to the British Library Spring Market Craft Fair.

The British Library has become one of my favourite places in London. There’s an excellent outside space, where (in the summer) I can bask in the sun as I eat my lunch, a pretty good gift shop, free exhibitions and a Peyton and Byrne where I can get a good pie to cheer me up in the winter months.

So off I went to the craft fair during my lunch break. The sun was out it, it was fairly warm and the fair provided some bliss in an otherwise downbeat working day.

At a glance it was fairly obvious that most of the stalls were very popular so I manoeuvred my way through to see the goods on offer.

I managed to have a look at every stall, I spoke to a few of the sellers and the general atmosphere was bustling and convivial. Continue reading
