Yesterday I went to the Designing Women – Post war British textiles, at the Fashion and Textile Museum.
The museum has a very striking exterior and was founded by designer Zandra Rhodes. It is now owned by Newham College who now run an academy in the building.
Decided to take the leap and sew myself a simple dress. I’ve discussed this for a while with my friend B who has made her own clothes for a while and I love her wardrobe! (quick shout out to B!).
Went to John Lewis‘ after work and bought my pattern. I want this as uncomplicated as possible, so no zips or buttons. I’ve given myself a deadline – I’ll wear the new dress on 24th March.
